RolesEye

Privacy and your data

RolesEye is a private beta. This is a plain-English summary of what we store, how it is used, and how to delete it. It is not legal boilerplate.

What we store

  • Your email address (for sign-in, and match alerts if you opt in).
  • Your resume text and the job preferences and filters you set.
  • The roles matched to you, and your application/pipeline status for each.
  • Your Anthropic API key, if you add one. It is encrypted at rest and never shown again.
  • Basic, non-identifying usage events (for example, that a search ran) to improve the product.

How it is used

Your resume and preferences are used only to score and rank public job postings for you. Postings come from public company career sites (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday) and a keyword job-search source. We do not build a profile of you for any other purpose.

AI scoring and your key

Keyword (lite) matching runs entirely within RolesEye. AI fit scoring and resume tailoring run only when you trigger them, and only then is your resume and the relevant job text sent to Anthropic's API using your own key. We do not send your data to any other third party.

Where it lives

Data is stored in a managed Postgres database (Supabase) and the app is hosted on Vercel. Your API key is encrypted before storage. We do not sell or share your data. We use Vercel's privacy-friendly, cookieless web analytics to count visits and see which pages are used; it does not use tracking cookies or store personal identifiers.

Delete your data

You can delete everything at any time from your profile. “Delete my account and data” permanently removes your resume, preferences, API key, matched roles, and account. This cannot be undone.
